62 Hodenji 法伝寺（ほうでんじ）

Denomination:  Rinzai (臨済宗)

Location:  Minami Izu-cho (南伊豆町)

The history of Hodenji is largely unknown due to the lack of records describing its
origins. The temple was relocated to its current location sometime between 1624 to 1644 and was converted from Shingon to the Rinzai denomination.
